About Tropman & Co.

Tropman & Co. Limited Accountants and Taxation Advisers are based in Liphook, since 2003. David Tropman, the original founder of the practice, retired in February 2015. Lucy Horner, Matthew Butcher and Candy Connor have worked together in practice for twenty years with a wide range of experience and abilities and continue the smooth running of the firm. Lucy Horner

Lucy heads up the accounts department and is also responsible for the management of the company secretarial department. Lucy is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holding a practising certificate and audit qualification, with her experience being gained as an accounts and audit manager for a small accountancy practice. This saw her dealing with a variety of clients, ranging from the small sole trader to medium sized companies, including subsidiaries of multi-national companies with strict reporting deadlines.

Matthew Butcher

Matthew manages the tax department and is a fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians. Beginning his career with a National Firm of Accountants in 1991 where he gained experience in all areas of business and personal taxation before moving to a smaller firm where he progressed to manager level. 

He is now responsible for all areas of taxation with a strong emphasis on tax planning and the provision of business advice.

Candy Connor

Candy is our practice administrator and also manages our payroll and book-keeping departments.

Candy has extensive experience covering a range of practice management issues, and has an in-depth knowledge of the technical complexities of 
payroll and book-keeping with particular expertise relating to the Sage computerised systems.
